World’s largest Kia dealer in Sunrise Florida to will open with P2PE terminals supporting EMV and NFC.<\/p><\/div>\n

January 9, 2015- Rick Case Kia Florida will soon be opening the world’s largest Kia dealership in Sunrise, Florida. In 2009, Rick Case converted their first store to CenPOS a merchant centric enterprise payment processing platform. In January 2015, the Kia store will take advantage of all the latest in payment security.\u00a0 “Rick Case Automotive continues to lead the industry with payment security protection for both customers and merchants,”<\/em> said Christine Speedy, Rick Case’s CenPOS sales and relationship manager. “The dealership will have\u00a0P2P encryption<\/strong> for all mobile and signature capture terminals; Verifone MX915 terminals will accept EMV cards and be enabled NFC for mobile wallets.”<\/em><\/p>\n

With P2P encryption<\/strong>, card data is encrypted at the swipe and is decrypted at another point before going on to a credit card processor. This reduces the risk of compromising data-in-flight, a common problem with many recent data breaches.<\/p>\n

The Card Association announced in August 2011 its EMV migration plan for the US as well as the benefits of EMV compliance, including a liability shift for merchants. Under the current migration plan, merchants processing 75 percent or more of their transactions captured by EMV terminals will be relieved 100 percent from Account Data Compromise compliance.<\/p>\n
