How much is PCI certification for using mobile? A caller asks if they can keep their existing merchant account with NPC, plus use ROAMpay for mobile, what would our fee be?

We do not provide PCI compliance certification under those circumstances. Your options through 3D Merchant Services and partners are as follows:

• Pay no compliance fee and switch payment processors. This is risky and not recommended.
• Pay $79 annual fee. Certification is by Security Metrics as of this writing. I anticipate this will change in the future, but as of now, virtually everyone pays this even if they have a 3rd party service.
• Pay fee that includes data breach insurance. Varies by business organization.
• Reduce the scope and burden for PCI Compliance with our payment processing platform, CenPOS. It encompasses mobile, retail, online etc. You do not need to change processors, but you’ll still need to pay whatever fee you have now.
